KNOWLEDGE & POWER, SMALL BITES AND BIG IDEAS
October 5th, 2017 | 5:30pm – 8:00pm
When it comes to inspiring girls to be their authentic selves and boldly pursue their dreams, Debra Hollingsworth means business! Meet our dynamic keynote speaker at our upcoming “Knowledge & Power, small bites & big ideas” annual fundraiser October 5, at Vue 17. Debra, recognized as the “St. Louis Champion,” is retired after 35 years of service with AT&T and has earned numerous awards and honors as VP for External Affairs. Today, this successful corporate exec has a huge heart and a long history of making a difference as a community advocate, influential philanthropist, and exceptional role model to young girls and women. Find out why our Girls in the Know’s mission to educate and empower preteen girls resonates so deeply with Debra, and don’t miss her presentation on “The Ripple Effect” which shows how one person’s positive actions cause a ripple effect to impact the lives of others.
Our special Emcee Keith Brooks knows how to bring out the best in young people, on and off the field. This St. Louis native is the Youth Baseball Commissioner and Director of Cardinals Care for St. Louis Cardinals. Keith supports area youth through the Redbird Rookies youth baseball league, who play on ball fields donated by Cardinals Care, the St. Louis Cardinals’ charitable foundation. Keith is a big fan when it comes to helping kids reach their full potential and we are thrilled he is teaming up with GITK again!
Proceeds from our annual fundraiser benefit our Outreach Program, which provides educational programming and life skills to girls living in underserved communities.
